Ames C.art is firmly rooted in the idea that everyone can participate in the arts, no matter what their background is or where their strengths lie. We all have things we excel at, areas of interest we want to explore, and talents to share. We are excited that you want to get involved with Ames C.art!
Volunteer – It’s easy to get involved with Ames C.art by becoming a volunteer. Get started by filling out the Volunteer Application (word doc) and emailing it to Volunteer@amescart.org
Host an event – We are always looking for places to meet, so if you have a space that can accommodate 10-15 people, please contact events@amescart.org
Participate – Coming to events is a great way to get involved, we wouldn’t exist if no one showed up. Every one of our members has something to contribute to the creative dialog – a new knitting technique they just learned, info on a new show that just went up, maybe they want to teach a workshop or help set up an Ames C.art event. Be an Ames C.art fan on Facebook to get updates for upcoming events.
Donations – Ames C.art is a non-profit organization so donations are what keeps us going.
There are many ways to donate to Ames C.art and materials are sometimes just as important as money. We host workshops twice a year, make handmade goods for local charities, and have an annual rummage sale to help fund our annual community art project. Email donations@amescart.org for info on what’s needed and where your donation can be dropped.

Photographer – Documents Ames C.art events. Coordinates with the Archivist to keep files organized and easily accessible.
Marketing/PR Volunteer We have a lot of skills, but marketing and public relations are not included among them. Help us spread the word about Ames C.art programming and projects. If people don’t show up, it’s not much of a “community” project now is it.
Social Media Volunteer Twitter, Facebook, we have them, we use them, but know they could be used more effectively. If you see updating a status once a day and adding a few event listings to the Ames C.art Facebook Page as hardly work at all, we would love to have you join our organization.
