Come join us for an evening of fun and creativity. We have combined our Fibers and Drawing groups together to make a creative collision! Bring along your portable fibers projects or your sketchbook and drawing/painting medium.

We are having a pot luck tonight! Bring a place setting, a dish to share, something to toss on the grill for yourself, and a beverage. Oh and don’t forget to bring a project to work on! We will have a bunch of charcoal and paper to play with along with instructions for making your own charcoal in the grill. All materials and methods are welcome – from painting to knitting!

If it rains or there is a heat advisory we will meet at the Ames C.art office (2321 N. Loop #102, Ames, IA 50010).

Ames C.art is getting all tied up this month! Come join us in the summer sun as we tie our way to some wonderful tie-dye designs. We will provide the instructions and the dye, you provide the material, and it all adds up to a great time.

Look for the red cart at Brookside to find us. Please bring your own seating if picnic tables aren’t to your liking. We will give a brief overview of the different types of designs that could be made and then get to it. Please bring your own cotton material (t-shirts or plain fabric) to dye.

Ames C.art is flying high this month and wants you to get in on the fun! Join us as we build kites from scratch with every day materials. We will work together on our creations at Brookside park, then head to the open space of the baseball diamonds to get them up in the air.

Sharing and stitching together materials, ideas, and community! Come together to share your stash and find uses for what you take home.

We are making market bags using a template from Burda Style. We just got a huge donation of sweet fabrics! We can make some market bags, then fill them with goodies

Bring a project to work on such as garments to mend and alter, sewing problems to solve, patterns to share, fabric/sewing supplies to swap and use, or your latest knitting/crochet project.

We will have sewing machines, some notions, as well as craft items and patterns to share. All skill levels welcome. Come for the community, stay for the creativity!

The Workspace is giving us a great deal, only $1 instead of their regular $3 fee (+ $1 material fee for hand stitch project) – no pre-registration necessary.
